To help ensure everyone’s glass is overflowing with possibilities, the LCBO once again named Women’s College Hospital (WCH) as an equity partner of its Spirit of Sustainability program.
Designed to support the province’s social and environmental needs and ultimately create a more sustainable Ontario for everyone, the program is helping to drive meaningful change in communities across the province.
Through impactful province-wide fundraising initiatives, the LCBO is delivering on its mandate. In June 2021, the LCBO rallied community members across Ontario to support WCH through its annual #ToasttoPride campaign, raising an incredible $2.1 million and, in March 2022, the LCBO renewed its support for WCH, inspiring another $2.2 million in donations.
This transformational support will directly advance key program areas at WCH with province-wide impact, including equity-focused research and the Substance Use Service program, and will help to improve access to care for underrepresented and marginalized communities. LCBO’s support during Pride Month is also making a significant impact on programs and services that are closing health gaps affecting the LGBTQ2+ community.
